Take Responsibility

As a young girl, the word ‘POOR’ was defined to me as Passing Over Opportunities Repeatedly. We live in a world where people see and accept their circumstances and situations as fate and not as their responsibility. This has birthed the victim mindset in a lot of people. I always wonder why some people are rich, whilst others are poor. For your imformation dear, wealth does not respect tribe, gender or skin colour because I have seen rich and poor people of different tribes, different genders and different skin colours. There’s this popular song that says, ‘Que cera cera, whatever will be will be, the future is not ours to see, Que cera cera’. This song, yes, sounds emotional but makes a person feel irresponsible and to accept whatever life throws at them.

I want to tell you dear that you are responsible for what happens to you in life. As a matter of fact, you are the chief architect of your present life situations. I wish I could sound softer and soothe your pain and possibly sympathize and pity you but who pity epp? Someone once said that you end up in a pit when you dwell in the pity of men. Self pity and pity party solves nothing. Some people have transferred the responsibility of their situation to God and term every situation, even their mistakes as the will of God. My dear, wake up, God is not the reason why you failed your exam neither is he the cause of your lack or wretchedness. No good God would will such for a child he claims to love. So wake up and stop your emotional midnight cries for God’s help. Take an analysis of your situation and tell yourself the sad truth that you are the reason why you are where you are.

Hear this truth dear: Life does not happen to you, life happens from you; so my Spiritual mentor told me. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he; so the Good Book says. Guard your heart with all diligence for life begins from there.

We create on two levels: First in our hearts and secondly in our experiences. So whatever you are going through physically has first occurred in your heart; whether consciously or unconsciously. So be mindful and careful what you think about because no matter how private your thoughts are, they are made public in your experiences. So you can’t hide your thoughts after all because when I look at your life, I can easily predict what your dominant thoughts are because your life moves in the direction of your strongest thoughts. So dear, what have you been thinking about lately? Be conscious of your thoughts because they determine your life experiences. Consciously think about what you are thinking about.

There’s no more excuse to be poor, there’s no more excuse to fail, there’s no more excuse why you can’t achieve your dreams, there’s no more excuse why you can’t impact your world positively or acquire the things you want or visit the places you wish to. Your village people are not responsible, your enemies are not responsible, your background is not responsible, even God is not responsible. YOU ARE 100% RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU. So quit the pity party and move on. There’s so much you can experience when this truth sinks into your heart. It’s foolishness to blame God or people for your circumstances for you have been given all that pertains to life but you must know the secret to unlocking and taking a full delivery of it. And what’s the secret? Whatever you can’t find in your mind, you can’t find in your life.

My counsel to you my dear friend: Whatever is true,  whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable -if anything is excellent or praiseworthy -think about such things.
